This Texas-style meat loaf was one of Kim’s mom’s specialties—comfort food done the Southern way. It showed up regularly on the table during busy weeks on the ranch when a satisfying, hearty meal was just what the family needed. With pasture-raised beef as the centerpiece and just enough sausage to boost the richness, it was the kind of dinner that made everyone slow down, gather around, and savor each bite.
Kim remembers her mom always serving it with a fresh salad and a warm casserole on the side—no fuss, just good food made with love. The sweet and tangy glaze, baked right on top until bubbly and caramelized, gave this meat loaf its signature flair. It’s a timeless recipe with Texas roots and ranch values—simple, filling, and made to be shared.
